Tagged in General News on 26th July, 2010 | 0 Comments

Aquiller, the new out-of-the-box document and contract generation system from Arch, has been chosen by Adobe to be promoted on its website as an endorsed by Adobe application.

This was decided by a panel of senior Adobe executives and outside experts after an evaluation board in Amsterdam in June.

A profile of Aquiller will be created by Adobe and will be featured in its new Application café on its global website.

We are delighted by this endorsement of our newest product and we look forward to Aquiller being equally strongly recognized by customers in 2010.

View post Standing room only at Adobe break-out session at the SAP World Tour 2010

On July 8th Arch were guests of SAP and Adobe at the UK World Tour 2010 at the ICC Birmingham.
Arch helped man the Adobe stand and delivered several interesting demonstrations of SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe.   There was also considerable interest in the work Arch have done using Adobe Flex for mobile device applications.
The highlight of the show was the Adobe, SAP Global partner break-out session where 3 Arch customers kindly participated in a discussion forum chaired by Arch CEO, Henry Blythe.   Liz Cocker of Camelot, John Burton of CLG and Simon Kaine of Amey Plc all shared their experiences with a packed audience of over 120.   In fact there were some delegates unable to get into the auditorium as it was standing room only!
Andy Gardner, our Head of Technology was on the panel and the customers described why they decided to invest in SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe, how their projects went and how their organisations are benefiting.   Areas covered included rationalising Employee contract production plus wider HR processes and strategic timesheets improving Amey’s billing.
Questions from the floor prompted an interesting discussion on models to calculate the return on investment from these types of initiatives.   There was a generous round of applause to conclude.

View post Arch begin organising next exciting Adobe technology in SAP event for autumn 2010

The 2010 Arch Autumn briefing sessions will build on the highly successful formula of previous combined events featuring a morning briefing with the theme: “Exploiting Adobe technologies in SAP” – emphasising business cases and real world-case studies.  This is to be followed in the afternoon by an update for FLM users.  Those organisations who intend to carry out reference visits as part of their evaluation of SAP interactive forms will find the conference of particular value.
Presentations in planning include new applications beyond forms examining correspondence generation, mobile communication and security, as well as a look at Aquiller, Arch’s new SAP integrated correspondence generation product.   Aquiller is to be marketed by Adobe.
As always, the popular customer case-studies will include the real world experience of at least 2 innovative Arch FLM clients.
The afternoon’s gathering of representatives from the expanded FLM customer base will get updates on new software features plus time to explore how to facilitate collaboration and the sharing of forms and methods.

View post Independent FLM User group to be launched

Tagged in General News on 19th July, 2010 | 0 Comments

At the last FLM User meeting in June 2010 it was decided the time had come for there to be an independent FLM user group.
To begin with our local and central government customers will meet to start the process.   Gloucestershire County Council and Cardiff City Council have kindly offered to host and chair the new group.  The planning meeting is to be held in Gloucester and will set up the essential structures and themes which will include how to share knowledge and methods between customers.
It was felt that the public sector group could do this quickly and effectively as there is an established culture of collaboration.  After this the user group will be opened up to the wider customer-base across all industry sectors.
